Four San Francisco Giants made the grade for the 2012 MLB All-Star squad.
The San Francisco Giants will certainly be well-represented at this year's All-Star Game at Kaufman Stadium in Kansas City, MO as catcher Buster Posey, outfielder Melky Cabrera, and third baseman Pablo Sandoval have all been named as National League starters this year.
Along with these three position players, the Giants also will send Mr. Perfect Matt Cain to Kansas City as their lone pitcher this year, while no Giants were named as reserves to the All-Star team. This will be Buster Posey and Melky Cabrera's first selection to the All-Star game in their career, while Pablo will be making his second appearance in a row.
Former San Francisco Giant Carlos Beltran was also named as an NL Starter. The All-Star game is next Tuesday, July 10.
