The absence of Matt Kemp to the Los Angeles Dodges lineup hasn't kept them from keeping their spot atop the heap in the NL West, but with a three game set against the San Francisco Giants on the docket in the city by the Bay, Los Angeles could see their divisional lead whittle down to nothing after this series.
With only a three game advantage over the Giants, a sweep in this series would leave L.A. tied with San Francisco for the lead in the division, starting to really separate themselves from the rest of the group. Arizona is the closest at just 5.5 games back, but after that it really falls off as the Rockies are now 15 games back and the Padres a whopping 17.
The Giants have a one game lead in the NL Wild Card at the moment, sitting just above the Pirates, Mets, Braves and Cardinals.
