The San Francisco Giants are fresh off their series with the defending AL champion Rangers, but now turn their attention to Texas' other baseball club, the Houston Astros, starting Tuesday night at AT&T Park.
San Francisco will send out Madison Bumgarner, who was a bit shaky in last outing, allowing a season-high-tying four earned runs in six innings pitched. Bummy still managed to earn the win. He made two starts against Houston last year, going 1-1 with a 4.85 ERA. In five home starts this season, the big lefty is 4-1 with a 2.50 ERA along with 27 strikeouts to just three walks in 36 innings of work.
The 'stros will send out Bud Norris, who hasn't gotten a victory in his last three starts, giving up 16 runs in 12.1 innings pitched over those three outings.
First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
