Well, another of Fresno's finest has joined the San Francisco Giants as infielder Charlie Culberson has been called up from Triple-A, adding more young depth to a short-handed middle infield.

Gillaspie optioned, Blackley DFAd, Affeldt reinstated, Culberson recalled. Blackley still can (and likely will) stay in organization.

Culberson brings a .284 batting average in 151 plate appearances this season, as well as a 96.4 percent fielding rate with six errors in 34 games this season. He wil join the cast of a very young group today, with Angel Pagan and Barry Zito the only Giants players who spent their entire season on a big league club last year.
