Giants Vs. Padres: Madison Bumgarner Looking For Fourth Win In A Row

After the San Francisco Giants were blanked by Anthony Bass for a majority of Saturday evening at AT&T Park, Madison Bumgarner will be hoping the offense can back him up a bit more in the finale against the San Diego Padres. But with the way he's been pitching lately, he might not need much support at all Sunday afternoon.

Bumgarner (3-1 2.96 ERA) will be looking for his fourth win in a row, allowing only four earned runs over that span, 20.1 innings pitched total. He held the Mets to just one run on three hits in seven innings his last time out.

Bummy owns a carrer record of 1-2 with a 3.22 ERA in eight games (seven starts) vs. San Diego, including a 1-1 mark with a 4.24 ERA in four starts last season.

As for Padres starter Clayton Richard (1-2, 5.11) he's struggles away from Petco Park so far in 2012, sporting a 9.53 ERA in two road starts this season. At home he has a tidy 1.35 ERA in two starts.

Even though Pablo Sandoval's league leading hit streak streak died on Saturday, Angel Pagan's is still going strong at 14 straight. And let's not forget Buster Posey, owning the fourth highest batting average in the NL at .354.

First pitch is set for 1:05 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM in and around the Bay, while Fox Sports San Diego and XPRS 1090 AM in San Diego.
