Giants Vs. Padres: Eric Hacker Joins San Francisco, Takes Bump In Series Opener

Stay connected for news and updates

The San Francisco Giants are set to tussle with the San Diego Padres this evening, though are still to announce who they will be sending out to the mound officially tonight, but it's certainly setting up like it will be Triple-A call up Eric Hacker at the moment.

Per Hank Schulman on Twitter:

Hacker joins the Giants on a four game winning streak, earning a 4-0 record and 2.19 ERA in his time this season with Triple-A Fresno, slipping right into the Giant rotation on his scheduled day to throw, keeping San Francisco from having to use Tim Lincecum on short rest or a reliever out of the bullpen as a starter.

First pitch is set for 7:15 p.m. PT this evening with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
