Giants Vs. Mets: Tim Lincecum Out To Right The Ship At Citi Field

As Tim Lincecum continues the search for his first won of the season for the San Francisco Giants, the New York Mets are hoping they are catching the two time Cy Young winner at the right time in the third installment of their four game series at Citi Field on Sunday.

Lincecum (0-2 10.54 ERA) has already given up 16 runs this season in just three starts, the most of any three-game stint of his career. Nine of those runs have been given up in the first inning of his outings after giving up only eight first inning runs in 2011. Hopefully the Freak can use his past experience to earn his first victory after allowing just one run in 22 innings pitched against the Mets in his career. He is 3-1 with a 2.87 ERA in seven starts against New York.

The Mets will send out Dillon Gee (1-1 2.92 ERA),who was solid in their 6-1 victory over Atlanta on Monday. Gee gave up only one run on four hits in seven innings of work, who saw a few innings of relief work against San Francisco last season.

The duo of Pablo Sandoval and Buster Posey continue to do damage, as Sandoval extended his hitting streak to 14 games on Saturday. He's now only two shy of Giants legend Willie Mays mark of 16 straight to start a season back in 1960. Not to be out done, Posey is 11 for 20 the last five games, finishing 2-4 on Saturday. But the Giants continue to show some sloppy glove work, committing three more errors on Saturday to push them to 19 on the season, tied for the league lead.
