Giants Vs. Phillies, Final Score: Melky Cabrera's Walk Off Single Ends Amazing Pitching Duel 1-0 in 11 Innings

Matt Cain and Cliff Lee were in the zone Wednesday night at AT&T Park as the San Francisco Giants and Philadelphia Phillies were looking for the victory in the rubber match of the series, each completing at least nine innings of shutout ball. But it was Melky Cabrera playing hero tonight, earning the walkoff single in the 11th inning for the incredible 1-0 win.

Cain was coming off of a one hit shutout his last time out on Opening day at AT&T, but finished the night with nine innings of shutout work, giving up only two hits, one walk and four strikeouts on a tidy 91 pitches. Lee was up to the task as well, going the extra mile by throwing 10 shutout innings, including seven hits, seven strikeouts and no walks on 102 pitches.

Amazingly neither came away with a decision as Antonio Bastardo took the loss gave up a single to Brandon Belt to start the rally, then an error get Angel Pagan on base to set it up for the Melkman. In fact, Melky was the only player of the game to have multiple hits, finishing 3-5 on the night. Clay Hensley earned his first win as a Giant.

Brett Pill earned the only base hit of the evening for San Francisco, while Buster Posey grounded into two of the team's four double plays on the night, finishing 1-4.

The Giants have an off day to travel on Thursday, then begin a three game set in the Big Apple against the New York Mets beginning Friday.
