Giants vs. Pirates, MLB Schedule Preview: Ryan Vogelsong Gets His First Start in Rubber Match at PNC Park

After Madison Bumgarner got tagged for his fourth loss of the season yesterday, the San Francisco Giants are looking for something new. And what better than rolling out minor league call-up Ryan Vogelsong for his first Major League start of the season this morning in the rubber match with the Pittsburgh Pirates

Vogelsong (0-0 0.00 ERA) was called up when Barry Zito went down with his foot injury, and has made a couple of relief appearances to keep himself fresh. But now he is charged with the duty of getting the Giants a much needed win at PNC Park. Vogelsong will take on the Pirates righty Jeff Karsten (2-0 3.94 ERA) whose had a pretty nice start to his season.

First pitch is set for 9:35 this morning (yes this morning) and can be seen on CSN Bay Area and heard on KNBR 680 AM. Don't forget to set your DVR or turn on the radio at work to catch all the action.
