Giants v. Royals, 2011 Spring Training Preview: Giants Look to Avoid Back-to-Back Losses Against Royals

On the eve of my arrival to the Scottsdale area the San Francisco Giants will be taking on the Kansas City Royals for some Cactus League action at Scottsdale Stadium this afternoon. First pitch is set for 1:05 and can be heard live on KNBR 680 or MLB.com (for paid subscribers only). And after the G-Men suffered only their sixth loss of their preseason yesterday to the Los Angeles Dodgers, they will be looking to get a win with Barry Zito at the helm.

The Kansas City Royals are only 1.5 games behind the Giants for first place in the Cactus League and are looking to hand the Giants back to back losses for the first time this Spring Training. But with basically the ‘A’ team on the field today, it will be tough for KC to knock off the G-Men.

And now, your World Champion San Francisco Giants:

CF Andres Torres
2B Freddy Sanchez
1B Aubrey Huff
C Buster Posey
RF Cody Ross
LF Pat Burrell
3B Pablo Sandoval
SS Mike Fontenot
P Barry Zito
