The San Francisco 49ers lead the San Diego Chargers 21-0 at halftime Thursday night at Candlestick Park. San Francisco drew first blood in the game's opening drive, concluding a 11-play, 66-yard drive with a 1-yard touchdown run by running back Anthony Dixon.
49ers quarterback Colin Kaepernick was the star of the first half, throwing a pair of touchdowns to receivers Delanie Walker and A.J. Jenkins. He finished the first half going 12-for-18 for 158 yards, completing passes to seven different receivers.
The 49ers defense has also caused problems for the Chargers, forcing a fumble and an interception in the first half. San Francisco has also held the Chargers to only 43 total rushing yards so far.
