The San Francisco 49ers would really like their free safety to rejoin them at their offseason workouts, but Dashon Goldson is taking his time in getting there. Goldson did not show at the voluntary workouts this past weekend in Santa Clara. Mindi Bach of CSN Bay Area files this report.
This is not the first time Goldson has had offseason issues with the 49ers. Goldson had a five-year, $25 million deal in place last season but it was not satisfactory to the defensive back. Goldson signed a one year deal and was franchised this season. It looks as if he's committed to getting the best deal possible and will not be with the team until he gets what he's looking for. It's very likely that until Goldson receives the deal he really wants, he will continue to miss workouts.
