NFL Mock Draft 2012: 49ers Continue To Strengthen Wide Receivers With Stephen Hill

Stay connected for news and updates

In NFL.com's Charles Davis' latest mock draft, the San Francisco 49ers continue to build the wide receiver corps and add weapons around quarterback Alex Smith. With the No. 30 pick in the 2012 NFL draft, Davis believes the Niners will select Georgia Tech wide receiver Stephen Hill, saying only, "Hill's a little raw, but he has really impressed this offseason."

Hill is coming off his best season with the Yellow Jackets in which he caught 28 passes for 820 yards and five touchdowns. However, it was his combine workout and his interviews that allowed him to increase his draft stock into the first round. He is considered a top-five receiver in this year's draft class. He stands at 6-foot-4 and weighs 215 pounds, which makes him a big target for Smith, and he also has good top-end speed.

With Hill playing next to Randy Moss and Mario Manningham, and with tight end Vernon Davis in the mix, the 49ers could have a very potent passing offense in 2012.
