Fantasy Football Waiver Wire, Week 11: Alex Smith Worth A Look

The San Francisco 49ers have performing pretty well, so most of the usual fantasy options have probably been taken. You probably have guys like Vernon Davis, Frank Gore, Michael Crabtree, David Akers and the Niners defense already are all probably loaded up on your rosters.

But this week, for once, 49ers quarterback Alex Smith is an excellent option this week facing awful Cardinals secondary at home. If you have Drew Brees and Ben Roethlisberger going on bye this week and you recently had Matt Schaub on your roster, then it might be worth picking up Smith as a one week or fill-in option.

Additionally, 49ers running back Kendall Hunter is worth grabbing to stash on a roster in case Frank Gore's ankle acts up. If Gore struggles to see much playing time, Hunter probably isn'tt worth starting at this point, but you might as well keep an eye out just in case you need a backup option.
