With the NBA Draft creeping closer with every passing moment, the NBA Mock Draft train just keeps on a-chuggin' with the release of SB Nation's latest NBA Mock Draft from the basketball equivalent to Gandalf, that being Tom Ziller, of course.
In his latest edition, he has the Sacramento Kings selecting Michael Kidd-Gilchrist from the University of Kentucky with the No. 5 overall pick.
Here is Ziller with the commentary:
For the second time in three years, the Kings land the second best prospect in the world with the No. 5 pick. /fist pump
Could be snark, could be true, but the fact that the Kings are selecting in the top 5 of the NBA draft each year and not actually getting any better may say a lot of their selections (or the weak draft classes of yesteryear). Hopefully another young addition like Kidd-Gilchrist to the incredibly young Kings will be that necessary catalyst to launch them to an NBA Championship.
