The Sacramento Kings and Harrison Barnes have been rumored as a good fit for one another if he falls to the fifth spot in the first round of the 2012 NBA Draft. Barnes upgrades Sacramento at the three spot and gives them an instant offensive weapon who can create his own shot and give the Kings solid (if young) starters at almost every position on the board.
However, it looks like Barnes and the Kings might never get that shot, as it doesn't look like Barnes will fall down that far the board. James Ham of Cowbell Kingdom tweeted the following.
According to an NBA source, Harrison Barnes had a workout scheduled in Sacramento on Friday, but has cancelled.Top 4 promise?— James Ham (@James_Ham) June 19, 2012
It does lead you to wonder which of the top four teams would be the most interested in taking Barnes. The Hornets are clearly locked in on Anthony Davis, so that leaves the Charlotte Bobcats, the Washington Wizards, and the Cleveland Cavaliers, all of whom could use any sort of talent influx to improve the squad. Barnes is definitely a very talented player and one of the best ones left.
