2012 NBA Draft Lottery Results: Kings Claim No. 5 Pick

Stay connected for news and updates

The Sacramento Kings have enough questions surrounding their franchise at the moment, and the last thing they needed was to slide down the draft order this year in the NBA draft lottery. Luckily they didn't budge, keeping their No. 5 pick in the 2012 NBA Draft.

The Kings sat in the No. 5 spot heading into the lottery, owning a 25.5 percent chance of moving into the top three, and a 7.6 percent chance of taking the No. 1 pick this year. Unforutnately they stayed put, but they'll still have a great selection to make come the draft next month.

Owner Adrienne Maloof was on hand to represent the Kings in this year's lottery. It was the 5th straight season Sacramento has been part of the lottery.
