Isaiah Thomas, Marcus Thornton Lead Sacramento Kings Over Washington Wizards, Winning 115-107

Stay connected for news and updates

The Sacramento Kings looked like they were headed toward a miserable finish to their East Coast road trip when they nearly gave up 70 points to the Washington Wizards. Washington scored 68 points and shot nearly 60% in the first half and seemed ready to run away with it.

But Sacramento cut into that lead in the second half, and then Isaiah Thomas and Marcus Thornton took them all the way home.

Thomas and Thornton combined for 34 points in the second half, and had most of the critical buckets to rally the Kings back from eight down against the Wizards. Tyreke Evans had 22 points and six assists, DeMarcus Cousins added 16 points and 16 rebounds, but both of them sat for most of the second half while Thomas and Thornton ran the show.

Sacramento moves to 11-22 on the season as they prepare for a week of rest during All-Star weekend.
