The Sacramento Kings snapped a nine-game home winning streak for the San Antonio Spurs on Friday night and did so with a strong defensive effort. Despite nearly blowing the game midway through the fourth quarter, the Kings won the final few minutes of the contest and came away with a 88-86 victory. This was the first time Sacramento has beaten the Spurs at home since 2006.

Tyreke Evans played very well against Tony Parker and ended his night with 23 points, 11 rebounds and eight assists. DeMarcus Cousins had a big fourth quarter and finished with 17 points and 13 rebounds, while Marcus Thornton had 17 points and had a +/- number of +17 for the night. Jimmer Fredette continued to struggle on both ends of the court and played just nine minutes while scoring three points.

Parker played well for San Antonio and had a game-high 24 points and seven assists. Tim Duncan ended with a double-double, while big men Tiago Splitter and Dejuan Blair both scored 10 points each.

Next up for the Kings will be the Grizzlies, who they will face on Saturday night in Memphis. Tipoff is set for 5 p.m. PT.
