The Sacramento Kings might need a big man this offseason if Samuel Dalembert doesn't return. Sacramento doesn't yet know whether they'll be keeping or letting go of one of their primary bigs.
David West has been targeted as one of the primary free agents from this class, but there are major concerns about whether he's fully healthy to contribute to an NBA team at an All-Star level. Those concerns will probably keep Sacramento from trying to sign him.
West would've been a nice fit with the Kings; as a natural four, he'd have let DeMarcus Cousins slide into his primary position at the five and put everyone in clearer roles. Cousins and Dalembert have been on the floor a lot at the same time, and their big man combo has always been a bit disjointed. West and Cousins would prove to be a more versatile couple, but clearly the injury concerns were too big to ignore. Sam Amick of Sports Illustrated reports.
