The Oakland Raiders trail the Jacksonville Jaguars 7-3 after the first quarter of play at the O.co Coliseum.

The Raiders got on the scoreboard first, knocking in a 21-yard field goal by kicker Sebastian Janikowski following a seven play, 69-yard drive. That possession was spurred by a 59-yard completion from Carson Palmer to Darrius Heyward-Bey.

Jacksonville responded a few minutes later, putting up a touchdown on a 42-yard pass from Blaine Gabbert to Cecil Shorts III.

Jacksonville suffered a major loss in the quarter after star running back Maurice Jones-Drew left the game with a left foot injury. His return is listed as questionable, and he had two rushes for six yards at the time of the injury.

Oakland has 75 yards of total offense compared to Jacksonville's 111. Palmer has 71 yards on 4/7 passing with no interceptions. Running back Darren McFadden has just four yards on five carries thus far.
