Well, as former Monday Night Football commentator Don Meredith used to sing during broadcasts: turn out the lights, the party's over. But not even a feel good Willie Nelson song will make Oakland Raiders fans feel any better right now. This won't help either.
I'll admit, this tweet is pretty salty to the Silver and Black faithful, but Steve Corkran always give it to you straight, and today is not different:
Coach Jackson said on radio show that Darren McFadden would have practiced today if Raiders were in playoffs. McFadden missed last 9 games.— Steve Corkran (@CorkOnTheNFL) January 4, 2012
Yeah. That's just special.
I have been dreaming of a Bay Area Super Bowl for a really, really long time now, and I thought maybe, just maybe if the Raiders got into the playoffs this year the powers that be would make it so. Better luck next year.
