The Raiders lost four of their last five games of Jackson's first and only season at the helm.

According to a tweet by ESPN's Adam Schefter, the Oakland Raiders have fired coach Hue Jackson.

The Raiders finished the season 8-8 after a promising 7-4 start. The team seemed to suffer from a plethora of mental errors at inopportune times and the loss of Darren McFadden for much of the season wasn't a plus either. They lost three of their final four games including a loss to AFC West rival San Diego, 38-26, in the final game of the season, preventing the Raiders from making the playoffs for the first time since 2002.

Jackson was only at the helm for one season but with new general manager Reggie McKenzie taking over, Jackson was in limbo on whether or not he'd be retained and it looks like Jackson lost the seesaw battle. NFL.com's Jason LaCanfora tweeted yesterday and today that if Jackson was to be fired, that Green Bay assistant Winston Moss would be a leading candidate to replace Jackson.
