Terrelle Pryor Won't Appeal 5 Game Suspension

After some speculation that the team may pursue a appeal of Terrelle Pryor’s five game suspension, Pryor’s agent Drew Rosenhaus has confirmed that the Oakland Raiders will not pursue any form of appeal to Pryor’s 5 game suspension, starting with week one of the regular season.

Pryor isn’t allowed to practice until he’s under contract, and still is yet to make it out to California to even begin contract talks. Head coach Hue Jackson felt confident that Oakland and Terrelle would reach a deal by the end of the week, but gave no solid timetable for when that might happen.

Pryor was selected in the third round of the NFL’s supplemental draft on Monday. He had previously stated at his pro day last Saturday that he would not appeal his suspension. A live phone interview during the second half of “Monday Night Football” raised some eyebrows when Pryor said that he would appeal the ban if that’s what Raiders and owner Al Davis wanted him to do.
