Darren McFadden Injury Update: NFL Network Reports Oakland Raiders RB Could Be Done For Season

Jason LaCanfora of NFL.com is reporting Oakland Raiders running back Darren McFadden will be sidelined for the rest of the season. LaCanfora reported team sources indicated that even though he might not need surgery, he will likely be unable to return this season. He has yet to return to practice and would potentially need a significant stretch of conditioning work needed to get back in game shape.

McFadden has been sidelined since October 23 with a sprained foot that has brought numerous questions for head coach Hue Jackson. Although Jackson insisted McFadden could return at some point this season, he has been unable to provide a timeline for DMC's return. According to the team sources, even if the Raiders reached the postseason he would not be able to play.

Michael Bush will continue in his role as the starting running back. Taiwan Jones is meant to be his backup, but he too is dealing with an injury. Jones has been out for a month with a hamstring injury, joining the rest of the Raiders walking wounded.
