Raiders' Sebastian Janikowski Named AFC Special Teams Player Of The Week

In an unsurprising announcement on Tuesday, the NFL named Raiders' kicker Sebastian Janikowski the AFC Special Teams Player of the Week for Week 12 following his six-field-goal performance on Sunday against the Bears

Seabass' club-record six field goals came from 40, 47, 42, 19, 37 and 44 yards and he added an extra point to account for 19 of the Raiders' 25 points in Oakland's 25-20 win over Chicago. Hitting four field goals from 40+ yards is no small feat, especially considering Janikowski has been battling a hamstring injury this season that sidelined him for Week 7's game and has limited him in practice for a large part of the last few weeks. It appears he's shaken that injury and is now back to kicking at near full strength.

He'll add this honor to his already full case; Janikowski also took AFC Special Teams Player of the Week honors in Week 1 and Week 5, and was the Special Teams Player of the Month for September.
