Raiders vs. Chiefs Inactives: CB's Chimdi Chekwa, Chris Johnson Out for Oakland

Stay connected for news and updates

As the Oakland Raiders get set to host the Kansas City Chiefs, they still don’t know who will be starting at quarterback for the Silver and Black. But what we do know is that they will be taking the field without a couple of key components on both sides of the ball.

Kicker Sebastian Janikowski and quarterback Jason Campbell are the most notable injuries of course, though the loss of both cornerbacks Chimdi Chekwa and Chris Johnson will both be inactive this afternoon, leaving the secondary a bit shorthanded. Fullback Marcel Reece, offensive lineman Bruce Campbell and wide receiver Chaz Schilens make up the other Raiders who won’t be suiting up this Sunday.

As for the Chiefs, wide receiver Jeremy Horne, quarterback Ricky Stanzi, safety Reshard Langford, offensive tackle Steve Maneri, wide receiver Jerheme Urban, defensive end Brandon Bair and nose tackle Jerrell Powe will all be out for Kansas City this afternoon.
