It's beginning to sound like a broken record, but the Oakland Athletics continue to be one of the hottest teams in all of baseball. The A's are 8-2 over their last 10 games and have won six in a row, most recently having little trouble sweeping the Cleveland Indians in four games on the road.
On Friday, the A's return home to host the struggling Boston Red Sox for three games. The Sox have just been swept in Anaheim by the Los Angeles Angels and are looking about as disjointed as a team can look in late August. The A's will try to take advantage and retain pole position in the American League Wild Card hunt.
