The A's and Indians will face off in a four-game series at Progressive Field. This could be an excellent opportunity for Oakland to solidify their place in the Wild Card race.
The Oakland Athletics managed to pick up a big series win against the Tampa Bay Rays over the weekend and moved into a tie atop the American League Wild Card race with the Rays and the Baltimore Orioles. The A's are also six games behind the Texas Rangers in the American League West and hold a three-game edge over division rivals the Los Angeles Angels.
Starting on Monday, the A's will have a chance to pick up some potentially easy wins, as they begin a four-game series at Progressive Field against the Cleveland Indians. The Indians have been awful lately and are just 1-9 over their last 10 games. The A's just captured a series against the Indians at the O.co Coliseum last week, so they should be very familiar with what Cleveland is bringing to the table.
