Tommy Milone had another solid start today to help the Oakland Athletics beat the Minnesota Twins on Saturday night. Milone won his ninth game of the season, giving up ten hits but only two earned runs. His record on this season is 9-6 with an ERA of 3.54.
Milone felt the need to express how close he is to meeting up with the all-time baseball greats.
Just read a Tweet that I am in a 121 way tie for 3,164th on the all time win list. Cy Young, I'm coming for you!

Milone is 25 years old and is probably on pace for about a 200 win career if he maintains this consistency for the next decade. Milone has one additional victory from last season, so that puts him at ten wins. He's definitely on the right track in compiling more wins than losses!
The Athletics definitely have to be pleased with the performance by their young pitcher.
