The A's know they will need to get back to their winning ways in order to stay ahead of the suddenly-surging Los Angeles Angels.

Young Oakland left-hander Tom Milone is trying to pick up his seventh win of the season after being a hard-luck lose last time out. Luke Hochevar gets the start for the Royals, trying to pick up his fourth win.
