Yoenis Cespedes Hits First Career Home Run In A's Win Over Mariners [VIDEO]

Some people wondered how long it would take Cuban defector Yoenis Cespedes to get used to his new home with the Oakland A's, but apparently he wasn't too concerned getting used to major league pitching after launching a two-run shot for his first career home run in the A's 4-1 victory Wednesday morning,

Cespedes told reporters after the game that he's comfortable with the big league ptiching, and continues to work out his game here in the States.

"They tried to throw me sliders every at-bat, so I had to adjust to hit the ball," Cespedes said. "It was great to hit a home run here for the Japanese fans."

"I wake up early every day and get to the field early and work hard because the baseball is different than in Cuba," Cespedes said.

Watching the video, Cespedes certainly seems comfortable at the plate, though Shawn Kelley of the Mariners certainly isn't on the mound after giving up the bomb to left center field.
