Stay connected for news and updates

As the The 5,700 plus members of the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences get ready to turn in their 2012 Oscar nomination ballots this Friday, many of us wonder where Moneyball will fit into this year’s Oscar landscape.

Moneyball could possibly be up for a number of Oscars this year, including Best Picture, Best Actor, Best Supporting Actor and possibly Best Adapted Screenplay as well.

Ballots are to be tallied by PricewaterhouseCoopers this year, with all entries to be turned in no later than the 5 p.m. deadline. No ballots received after that deadline will be valid or counted.

The nominations will be announced live on Tuesday, January 24, at 5:30 a.m. PT in the Academy’s Samuel Goldwyn Theater. That is when we all will learn Moneyball’s fate in the eyes of the Academy.

The 84th Academy Awards will be presented on Sunday, February 26 at the Kodak Theatre at Hollywood & Highland Center, and televised live on ABC across the globe.
