A's vs. Tigers: Star Wars Night, Wedding, Marathon Man, Power Outage Cap Bizarre Evening

The Oakland Athletics are facing the AL Central-leading Detroit Tigers in a game that has become a bit bizarre. It is Star Wars Night at O.Co Coliseum as the A's are looking to prevent the Tigers from clinching the AL Central title in Oakland. Star Wars night brings out some interesting individuals dressed in a variety of outfits. Seems harmless enough.

Well, Star Wars Night might have been the impetus for some interesting events for the evening. Before the game, a couple was married behind home plate. That seems cool enough. However, just to make things a little more interesting, Coast Guard Lt. Luke Peterson is on a treadmill attempting to run a marathon before the completion of the game. If you don't believe the A's website, we've got a picture after the jump.

Peterson got a bit of help this evening as the stadium lights near the infield went out, leaving the infield in darkness. The game was delayed 15-20 minutes and is back underway. Good times at the Coliseum.
