After winning three of their last four games the Oakland A’s have now dropped two in a row after their 4-3 loss to the streaking Chicago White Sox yesterday. The Sox have won 5 of their last 6, but the A’s will send Tyson Ross out on the mound this afternoon in hopes of ending their streak.
Ross (2-2 2.51 ERA) has only give up 3 earned runs in his last three starts after being slotted in the rotation when Dallas Braden hit the DL. Now it looks like he is going to be there a while, but Ross seemingly is a worthy replacement if he can keep up his solid performances.
Interesting stat: The Oakland A’s are 19-19 on the season, and are now 144-144 since June 29, 2009.
