Kings vs. Thunder score: Kings lose another on the road, 113-103

Richard Rowe-US PRESSWIRE

The Thunder outscored the Kings in the second quarter 32-16 to put the game out of reach early.

The odds were stacked against the Kings to win one on the road against one of the league's best home teams, and the Thunder made sure it stayed that way with as the Kings lost 113-103 on Friday.

For one quarter the Kings were keeping pace with the Western Conference's best, but then the second quarter started. After trailing by only three points to start the second quarter, the Thunder outscored the Kings 32-16 in the second quarter to effectively put the game out of reach. The Kings slowly whittled away at the deficit throughout the second half but it proved too large a hole.

With the loss, the Kings drop to 1-9 on the road while the Thunder increased their home record to 13-3.

Kings guard Isaiah Thomas scored 26 points on 10-of-12 shooting to lead the Kings, who saw five players score in double figures. Guard Tyreke Evans added 21 and forward Jason Thompson scored 15. But the offense wasn't enough to keep up with the Thunder as the Kings dropped their third straight on the road.

Thunder forward Kevin Durant led all scorers with 31 points, forward Serge Ibaka added 18 points and 11 rebounds and guard Russell Westbrook scored 13 while doling out 13 assists. The Thunder shot 49.4 percent from the field and were a perfect 22-for-22 from the free throw line.
