Sacramento Kings rookie Thomas Robinson admitted that he needs to take care of business better around the rim before Monday's game against the Dallas Mavericks.

Robinson told Jason Jones of the Sacramento Bee that he's "not the best finisher right now" before backtracking to a less harsh assessment that he's "not finishing the way [he] can right now." Robinson went on to say that it is "a mental thing" and something he's been through before but was able to overcome back at Kansas.

On the season, Robinson has sank 44% of his buckets but he hasn't connected on a field goal over the past two games (0-for-7) and is shooting only 23.1% through the first four games of December. But as Jones points out, he hasn't exactly been awful from close range in his first year as NBA.com/stats has Robinson draining 22 of his 43 shots (51.2%) within five feet of the rim.

And thanks to his strong defensive play, Robinson should get his fair share of opportunities to work though his struggles as head coach Keith Smart leaves him on the court for 15-20 minutes per game. Kings fans will be hoping he can show signs of improvement immediately though as Sacramento is faced with a tough upcoming road swing with visits to Dallas, Milwaukee and Oklahoma City.
