The Sacramento Kings held off the Detroit Pistons to win their second game in a row, 105-103, as they held off late Detroit rallies to improve to 2-3.
The Kings used a 29-19 second quarter to put themselves ahead of Detroit and stay there for most of the night. Sacramento forced 17 turnovers and grabbed 14 offensive rebounds to get the extra possessions needed to hold off Detroit. DeMarcus Cousins led Sacramento with 21 points and 11 rebounds, Isaiah Thomas and Tyreke Evans both had 15 points (with Evans also registering seven reboudns). Jason Thompson added 13, Jimmer Fredette 12, and Aaron Brooks and Marcus Thornton both scored 11.
Detroit fell to 0-6 on the season, although Greg Monroe did register a triple double with 21 points, 12 rebounds and 11 assists. Brandon Knight added 21 points, Will Bynum put in 14, Kyle Singler 12 points, Jason Maxiell 11 points and Tayshaun Prince 10.
