The Trail Blazers defeated the Kings 103-86 on Tuesday, Sacramento's third straight loss.
The Kings tailed by just two points, 12-10, with seven minutes to play int he first quarter, before Portland took control with a 13-0 run. The Kings rallied in the second quarter, and actually took a two-point lead but trailed 46-42 at halftime. Sacramento opened the third quarter with a 10-4 run and led 54-50, however, it was all down hill from there.
Portland closed the third quarter on a 20-4 run and the Kings were never able to recover. The Blazers outscored the Kings 28-16 in the third quarter, opening a 16-point lead. The Kings scored 28 points in the fourth quarter, but Portland scored 29 to cap off the 17-point victory.
James Johnson led the Kings with 16 points while Portland's Damian Lillard scored a game-high 22 points. The Kings bench outscored Portland 46-19 led by Jimmer Fredette and Thomas Robinson. Fredette scored 13 points while Robinson went 5-of-7 shooting and finished with 12 points.
The Kings have now lost two straight home games after opening the season 2-0 at home.
