NBA Mock Draft 2012: Terrence Jones, Evan Fournier Picked By Golden State Warriors

Stay connected for news and updates

The Golden State Warriors could use more versatile players with elite athleticism to get his team back on the winning basketball path. Right now Golden State seems to be confined to having plenty of scorers but not enough playmakers or defensive ability. If the Warriors are to improve, they need to upgrade at multiple positions and particularly at the forward spots.

Matt Moore of CBS Sports released his latest mock draft, and it has the Warriors taking someone who fits the bill in Kentucky's Terrence Jones who can provide Golden State with an elite athlete on the perimeter that can be the first step to upgrading the team's perimeter profile.

A clean start for the Blazers at point guard after the trouble over the past few years. Lillard is a scoring point so LaMarcus Aldridge may take a downtick, but without Nate McMillan to kill their souls, a new point guard could flourish with the kind of athletes Portland has.

The Warriors take Evan Fournier with their 30th pick to provide yet another wing talent.

They want wings, they get wings. A steal here, given his status, the Warriors pick up a great prospect without having to reach for him.

Discuss how well Jones would fit with the Warriors over at Golden State of Mind. Talk about how good Jones is with Kentucky fans by heading to A Sea of Blue.
