The latest mock draft from Sheridan Hoops has been posted, and they forecast the Golden State Warriors to take Perry Jones with the 7th overall pick and Fab Melo with the 30th overall pick.
Jones is a strong forward out of Baylor University who averaged 13.5 points and 7.6 rebounds per game. Sheridan Hoops comments:
Jones is one of the most enigmatic prospects in the draft. 6’11" forwards that can handle, pass, and shoot like him are hard to find but he seems to lose focus at times and is too easily outmuscled by opponents.
Fab Melo is a center out of Syracuse who averaged 5.8 rebounds and 2.9 blocks per game. Says Sheridan Hoops:
Melo is ready to help on the boards and block shots right away but is light years away on offense. Despite having great size, Melo has had conditioning issues.
The mock draft has Jared Sullinger, who other mock drafts had linked to the Warriors, going to Milwaukee at number 12.
