Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, Kwame Brown To Bucks; Andrew Bogut, Stephen Jackson To Warriors, According To Report

The Golden State Warriors have moved Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh and Kwame Brown to the Milwaukee Bucks in exchange for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.

The Golden State Warriors and the Milwaukee Bucks are on the verge of making the first big deal before the NBA Trade deadline. And it's a doozy. Monta Ellis, Ekpe Udoh, Kwame Brown will be dealt to Milwaukee in exchange for Andrew Bogut and Stephen Jackson.

Adrian Wojnarowski has the original report on the trade. Marcus Thompson.

Ellis and Brandon Jennings on the same team? Holy usage rate Batman. Scott Skiles will have his hands full for on the Milwaukee Bucks.

Jackson returning to Golden State? That should go over well.

The Warriors had been discussing dealing Monta for some time, as the Warriors guard has been frustrated with Golden State's inability to improve during his tenure with the franchise. Golden State has been hoping to get more defensively solid, and they feel getting Bogut could do that (although losing Udoh and Brown in the process does hurt that mission).

The bigger question for the Warriors: Is Golden State going into tank mode to try and land a quality draft spot? Or are they committed to defense and using Bogut as the centerpiece of a new resurrection of defensive intensity?
