Stephen Curry Injury: Warriors Guard Out Vs. Pacers

Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors has always had foot issues. Those issues resurfaced again and will keep him out of action against the Indiana Pacers.

Rusty Simmons of the San Francisco Chronicle files this report
.

Curry, who sprained the deltoid ligament in his right foot Wednesday, stretched with the team at IUPUI, but he was pulled from practice when the pace of the drills intensified. He did some light shooting afterward.

"He's the type of kid who will say, 'I'm OK. I'm OK. I'm ready to play,' " head coach Mark Jackson said. "We're going to make sure that there's no further damage. We're going to wait until he's 100 percent."

Curry is currently day-to-day. The Warriors are in the midst of a five game road trip to the East Coast which will force them to play a brutal five games in seven nights. After tonight's game with the Pacers, the Warriors must play at Atlanta tomorrow, at Philadelphia on Friday, at Toronto on Sunday and at Washington on Monday. Golden State could use Curry back in the lineup as soon as possible, as the Warriors need depth to be able to retain a respectable showing on this trip.

Golden State is only three games back in the Western Conference playoff standings, so every win is crucial. Getting Curry back will be a paramount concern, although Mark Jackson seems to believe Curry might have to rest more than play.
