Warriors Vs. Clippers, Halftime Update: Chris Paul, Monta Ellis Battling, Game Tied 56-56 At The Half

The Golden State Warriors limped back to Oracle Arena after losing two losses on the road, looking to end a three game skid again a talented Los Angeles Clippers Monday night. Chris Paul came out with a vengeance but Monta Ellis and the Warriors hung tough, fighting the Clip Show to a 56-56 tie at the half.

The W's were giving the Clippers all they could handle in the first quarter, finishing the period with a six point lead. The second unit couldn't hang on early in the second quarter as Chris Paul heated up from behind the arc, dropping three three-pointers in a row to take back the lead midway through the second. But the starters fought back hard, working all the way down to the whistle to ensure the halftime draw.

Monta Ellis kept pace with CP3 in the first half, scoring 18 on 6-11 shooting with four assists, while Ekpe Udoh had a great first half in Andris Biedrins' absence (sickness) scoring 12. David Lee had 13 and six rebounds, while Stephen Curry had nine and four assists.

Paul was light's out in the first half, scoring 20 points on 6-7 shooting, while Blake Griffin worked his way to 14 and four rebounds. Both teams were on fire from downtown as well, each shooting over 50%.

It's an up-tempo shootout at Oracle so far, let's see if the Warriors can keep up down the stretch.
