Warriors Vs. Jazz Preview: Warriors Look To Start Winning Streak

With almost a third of the season under their belts, the Golden State Warriors are going to need to start stringing some wins together in a hurry if they want to even be considered in the playoff discussion. That task will continue Thursday against the Utah Jazz, who squeaked out their first road win of the season last time at Oracle.

Gordon Heyward annoyed Warriors fans with a team high 18 points back on Jan 7 during a 88-87 victory at Oracle, but hopefully the W’s are out for a little redemption against a team with a league low six road games played thus far. They’ll start their longest roadie of the season on Thursday with a number of injuries as Devin Harris and Raja Bell will likely be sitting with injury, as will backup point guard Earl Watson. They’ll have a lot more to deal with in this deep Jazz team.

Monta attacked the basket a lot last time against Utah, dropping a career high 16 free throws, something he will hopefully continue tonight, while David Lee and Beidrins will have their hands full with Al Jefferson and Paul Millsap down low. The W’s will also need a similar output from the bench mob against the Kings if they want to earn another win, starting once again with Brandon Rush and Nate Robinson.

It will also by Stephen Curry’s first time seeing Utah this season, missing their last meeting with the ankle injury.

Tipoff is set for 7:30 pm PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area and KNBR 680 AM.
