Warriors Vs. Thunder, NBA Preview: W's Open Road Trip Against Kevin Durant, OKC

The Oklahoma City Thunder own the NBA's best record so far, all the while they've played the least amount of home games in the Western Conference. Kevin Durant, Russell Westbrook and co. are 10-1 at Chesapeake Energy Arena, but have played their only twice in the last three weeks, but play host to the Golden State Warriors Friday night, who begin an elongated road trip of their own.

The Thunder have had just as many games at home than thy've had at Oracle Arena over that three week span, earning themselves two victories in the process. But the W's open up a five game homestand for OKC, and haven't won there in their last five attempts, meaning they'll certainly have their work cut out for them this evening.

Durant has already dropped two double-doubles (37 and 13, 33 and 10) on the W's this season, while Westbrook has a combined 59 points and 18 assists against Golden State as well, but also has committed 16 turnovers, and likely will be a handful again tonight.

The Warriors are going to need a healthy Monta Ellis back this evening, who sat out the fourth quarter during Wednesday's 93-91 loss to Portland, but also will need a solid performance from everyone, and I mean everyone, if they want to get themselves a win. OKC is too talented and has too deep a bench, so hopefully the three headed monster of Monta, Stephen Curry and David Lee can take control, with a little bit of help from the Dubstitutes.

Tipoff is set for 5:00 p.m. PT with coverage on CSN Bay Area.
