The injury woes of the fourth-year guard out of Davidson continued on Friday with another ankle injury.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry is becoming more and more frustrated with his recurring ankle injury, which was apparent after the team's 115-89 victory over the Sacramento Kings in which he didn't suit up. And instead of yanking him in and out of the lineup, the team and Curry himself may find it best to simply sit it out for a while, as noted by CSN Bay Area's Matt Steinmetz.
When asked his status for the rest of the season, Curry was less than optimistic:
"I'm just trying to get healthy," Curry said, "I'm getting fed up with dealing with the same thing over and over again and trying to push through it and not being able to produce like I want to on the floor.
"That's my main goal, to get healthy. What that means I'm not sure yet. I'll continue to do my rehab and my treatment and listen to the (training) staff. I'm sure we'll have a better idea what we're going to do going forward later."
With Monta Ellis out of the picture, much of the future of the franchise hinges on the ankles of Stephen Curry and Andrew Bogut. Bogut is certainly out of the picture for a while, and if the team decides to put Curry on the shelf, that could signify a 'pack-it-in' mentality of the team trying to retain their top-7 protected draft pick this season. On the other side of the coin the team has won three straight and have ownership saying the exact opposite, leaving some players to keep from projecting too far into the future:
"I'm going to take this game by game," Lee said of the rest of the season. "We have to take a step back and see what they're going to do with Steph Curry and that's going to be a big part of us moving forward."
Being without Monta, Curry, Udoh or Bogut, the W's will need more great offensive outpours from their role players and dubstitutes, because David Lee can't do it all. We'll get another chance to see how they resopnd against the Celtics Wednesday night.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry left the team's matchup with the Phoenix Suns at the U.S. Airways Center after playing only nine minutes, suffering a sprain in his right foot in the first quarter.
Curry missed a layup with 2:30 remaining in the first when landed a bit awkwardly, trying his best not to but any weight on it. He began to limp and hobble down the court, and was relieved by Nate Robinson soon after.
Curry headed to the locker room with nine points and two assists, and came back right before the half to try and give it a go again, but really seemed to be aggravated by it then and never returned. He had x-rays done that were negative, but his status for the near future in unknown.
Curry was supposed to take part in the skills challenge as part of this weekend's All-Star festivities down in Orlando, but likely won't take part considering the injury. Luckily he's got the break to rest up before the team hit's the road early next week.

Looks like Stephen Curry of the Golden State Warriors could be back in action sooner than most people thought he'd be. His ankle does not have any serious structural damage and should be ready to go sooner than you realize.
Larry Riley released this statement:
"Stephen Curry was examined by Warriors’ Team Orthopaedist Tim McAdams on Saturday, January 7, prior to our game in Oakland and again by Dr. Bob Anderson (the doctor who performed Stephen’s surgery this past offseason) yesterday, January 9, in Charlotte, NC. Following the examinations and consultations with both doctors, the diagnosis of Stephen’s injury remains a sprained right ankle with no structural damage.
"Stephen will continue to receive treatment and undergo rehabilitation therapy. He will be cleared to play whenever he is able to pass a functionality test on his right ankle."
Curry's previous ankle injuries have always been a source of consternation for Golden State fans because they're always uncertain how long he can stay on the floor and be an active guard. With Curry out, the Warriors pretty much have to rely on Monta Ellis as their mainstay guard and ride him the entire way, and that's not a terrible healthy way for the team to function.
Curry is still being listed as day-to-day. Still, his history of ankle issues have to trouble any basketball GM. The Warriors need to make sure Curry is 100% healthy before throwing him into action.

Stephen Curry has dealt with ankle injuries his whole life as a basketball player, but he may have never had something as bad as this one. The Warriors star guard continues to miss games with a severe sprain and is considering yet another surgery to help with the continuing injury. According to recent reports, nothing is official in terms of going under the knife, but Curry will meet with doctors in the very near future.
Warriors PG Stephen Curry will be evaluated tonight by team docs, fly to Charlotte to meet with his surgeon Monday.

This has to be very concerning for Warriors fans and a scary situation for Curry. As someone who has dealt with bad ankles my entire life, it can be incredibly frustrating as you try to recover from multiple sprains. We will likely know a lot more in the coming days once Curry is evaluated once again. Until then, all Golden State fans can do is hope their sharp-shooting guard will be OK.

The Golden State Warriors will once again be without Stephen Curry as his troublesome right ankle will force him to sit out once again, this time against the Los Angeles Lakers.
Curry missed practice on Thursday, causing Warriors general manager Larry Riley to issue a statement regarding his injury on Thursday:
"At the end of last season, Stephen Curry was examined by Dr. Mark Myerson in Baltimore and Dr. Bob Anderson in Charlotte, both renowned foot and ankle specialists. Both doctors recommended ligament reconstruction on his right ankle, which was performed by Dr. Anderson in May of 2011. Since that time, Dr. Tim McAdams and the Stanford medical team have continued to work with Dr. Anderson and the Warriors' athletic training staff regarding Stephen's ankle. His summer-long rehabilitation went extremely well and no problems were encountered until he suffered a sprain of the ankle at Sacramento on December 20.
"Stephen performs functional tests well. He is taped, wears an ankle brace and has a different shoe. For no lack of effort on anyone's behalf, the problem has continued. At this point, Stephen will continue to receive treatment and rehabilitation and his status is day-to-day. He will be evaluated by Dr. McAdams prior to our game in Oakland on Saturday, when we hope to determine the best way to proceed."
Perhaps the continued re-aggravation of the injury is causing the ligaments to become looser, but it is looking like the sprains are coming easier with each passing episode. The W's desperately need his production, and if they ever want to land Dwight Howard, they will likely need a healthy Curry to do so.

Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry went down for the third time this season with a sprained ankle against the San Antonio Spurs Wednesday night, and spoke to the media after the game about the condition of his surgically repaired right ankle.
"It’s just another re-aggravation of the same thing that’s been happening. Another frustrating incident I have to deal with it. This is the worst it’s been (pain). I’m sure it has to do with the fact that it’s the third time. It’s hard to say exactly how it will react. I did put weight on it and tried to tape it back up and lace it back up but it started to stiffen up. We’ll have to see how it reacts tomorrow. But it’s just deja vu again for me."
The next step is what to do with Curry now. The ankle seems to be getting sprained more easily after each incident, and may need a significant amount of time to rest and recuperate.
Luckily the W’s added Nate Robinson to the team today, who can help out with some of the scoring that Curry has been bringing. The saddest part is that every time Curry gets hurt, he is playing really well.
Speedy recovery sir.

With only a few minutes left in the third quarter Golden State Warriors guard Stephen Curry was dribbling the ball up court and apparently took a wrong step on his bad right ankle, re-injuring it and having to leave the game.
Curry would head back to the locker room and seemed to be in significant pain as his surgically repaired ankle keeps taking a beating seemingly every other game. His status remains uncertain and his return to the game is highly questionable.
Curry was rolling for the first three quarter of play, scoring 20 points in 30 minutes on 7-11 shooting from the floor. The team has already gotten him new shoes to add support and obviously wrap it immensely, but the oft-injured ankle seems to have lost a lot of stability.
