Golden State Warriors Knock Off Sacramento Kings, Pick Up Big Home Victory

More: A win but not a smart win

The Golden State Warriors desperately needed to pick up a victory on Tuesday night and they took care of business against the Sacramento Kings at Oracle Arena. The Warriors got off to a bit of a slow start and the game was sloppy throughout, but a big second half led Golden State to the 93-90 win. The victory improved the team to 7-12 on the season.

Brandon Rush had a huge night off the bench and had 20 points, including four 3-pointers and six rebounds. David Lee and Dorell Wright both had 15 points, while Monta Ellis contributed 12. Stephen Curry continued to struggle with his shot and had just three points on seven shots.

Tyreke Evans played well for the Kings and just missed the triple-double, scoring 22 points, dishing out nine assists and bringing down 10 rebounds. DeMarcus Cousins had a big night with 21 points and 14 rebounds. Isaiah Thomas did his best in the fourth quarter to will Sacramento to victory, but his 11 points came up short.

The Warriors will have a day off and will face the Utah Jazz on Thursday night. Tipoff is set for 7:30 p.m. PT.
