Warriors Vs. Thunder Final Score: Golden State Overpowered By OKC In 120-109 Loss

More: Recap of the Warriors loss to the Thunder

The Golden State Warriors hosted the Oklahoma City Thunder on Friday night. The W's were fresh off a big win over the formidable Portland Trail Blazers on Wednesday night and had their sights set on defeating two tough teams in a row. Unfortunately, the best team in the West proved a much more difficult riddle to solve and ended up picking up the win over the W's by a final score of 102-99.

The Warriors were down by five points heading into halftime. They were outscored 28-25 in the third quarter but went on the offensive early in the final frame. The Thunder took control again halfway through the quarter and padded their lead to hold Golden State at bay. To their credit, the Warriors hung in and continued fighting in the fourth quarter, which was the highest-scoring quarter of the game for both teams.

Coming off of his best game of the season against the Blazers, Stephen Curry was almost completely silent offensively until the fourth quarter. He finished with 15 points and six assists. Dorrell Wright led the Warriors scorers with 23 points, also picking up nine rebounds and five assists. David Lee contributed 19 points and seven boards.

On the OKC side, Kevin Durant led all scorers with another monster game, putting up 37 points and 14 rebounds. Russell Westbrook put together a double-double of 28 points and 11 assists. Serge Ibaka grabbed the third Thunder double-double of the game, finishing with 20 points and 12 rebounds.
