Warriors Vs. Trailblazers Preview: W's Look To Fix Mistakes Against Tough Portland Squad

The Golden State Warriors are coming off of possibly their worst loss of the season with an epic collapse against the Memphis Grizzlies, blowing a 20-point second half lead with turnovers and lackadaisical effort. Now they host the Portland Trailblazers Wednesday night at Oracle, looking to fix some of their previous mistakes, and earn themselves a win.

Portland (11-7) enters the game on the third night of a back-to-back-to-back, including wins over the Grizzlies and Kings in the last two outings at the Rose Garden. Despite the schedule, the Blazers are a very dangerous team in the Western Conference, which the W’s are 0-6 against this season.

The Warriors (5-11) front court should have a fun time trying to contain Portland’s big men in LaMarcus Aldridge, averaging 25.2 points and 10.7 rebounds over the last six road games, and Marcus Camby, leading the team in blocks. Portland is simply a big team, seemingly with a size advantage at almost every starting position, meaning the W’s will have to play extra clean basketball tonight if they want to earn a win.

Look for Stephen Curry’s offense to pick up in tonight’s game after struggling in his first few games after his return, and Dorell Wright to hopefully get up some more shots, because they really need his deep ball ability to cover up those aforementioned mistakes.

If the Warriors can fix some of their own gaffes and figure out a way to play four quarters with the foot on the gas pedal, they might just earn themselves a victory this evening.
